Standing tall in an alignment ‘T’, this exposed
concrete masterpiece utilizes all the spaces keeping
in mind the aesthetics of the place. Located betwixt
the city of Pune, the accommodation aims to provide
organized pattern from diverse palette of student
amenities by creating informal but an inspiring
living space breathing in a homely spirit. Designed
under the core concept of open book, base floors are
interconnected for common activities – admin area,
library and food court. The system is divided at
levels on the basis of room sharing that are well
separated assuring privacy and maintaining the
internal connectivity. In addition, the temporary
sound proof partitions offer flexibility to modify
the room sizes as per occupancy. The library area is
a combination of glass and solid panels. The gym
zone has glass facade allowing the passage of
natural light with yoga-meditation on the pledged
terrace. The traditional concept of canteen is
replaced with the contemporary food court–indoor and
outing seating with multiple vendors. Breathing
pockets – key feature of the design ensure cross
ventilation and scope for recreational activities.
